Kapp crossed his arms, his expression contemplative. 

*“There are whispers of several factions operating in the area. Some have been linked to outside influences, particularly from the south. The labor disputes seem to be a front for something more sinister.”*

Chuck shifted nervously, glancing at Phillips, who appeared to be listening intently. Kapp continued, his voice steady but laced with concern.


*“We’ve received reports of a group known as the ‘Iron Syndicate.’ They’ve been active in New Mexico and have ties to various mining operations across the Southwest. Their methods are… aggressive, to say the least.”*


- Phillips nodded, adding, *“I’ve heard the name mentioned among the miners. They’re rumored to be involved in smuggling operations and have a reputation for intimidation. If they’re here, it could spell trouble for everyone.”*


Holmes raised an eyebrow, intrigued. 

*“Smuggling? What kind of goods are they trafficking?”*

Phillips rubbed his chin thoughtfully. 

*“Word is they deal in precious metals and artifacts — anything that can be exploited for profit. They’ve been known to manipulate labor movements to serve their interests.”*


Kapp interjected, *“And that’s not all. There are rumors that they’re seeking something specific — an artifact believed to be hidden in the mines. If they find it, it could give them significant power.”*


Chuck, feeling the weight of the conversation, spoke up. 

*“What kind of artifact are we talking about? Is it connected to Lady Rhyssa’s departure?”*

Holmes turned to Chuck, recognizing the connection. 

*“That’s what we need to determine. If the Iron Syndicate is involved, then Rhyssa’s disappearance may not be unrelated. We must uncover what they are after.”*


Kapp nodded, his expression grave. 

*“If they’re after something in the mines, we need to act quickly. The longer we wait, the more dangerous the situation becomes.”*


Phillips added, *“I can help you gather information from the miners. They may know more about the Syndicate’s activities. But we must tread carefully; fear runs deep in these parts.”*
